Direct
Dataset Interoperability

Eliminating Siloed Data

Direct Dataset Interoperability allows organizations to seamlessly combine data from multiple sources on-demand without the need for data transformations. With properly defined dataset interoperability, multiple datasets will function as a single consistent dataset.

Each Maxxphase Data Compatibility Standard data product provides a set of universal junctions. When a Data Compatibility Standard is noninvasively added to a data system's dataset, that dataset becomes compatible as it inherits the set of universal junctions. When two or more compatible datasets each include the same Data Compatibility Standard, the universal junctions can be dynamically joined as needed to share data among these compatible datasets.

Combining Standards-Based Data Integration with Direct Dataset Interoperability eliminates siloed data without the need to copy, and data transform the entire dataset. Now, siloed datasets can easily be enhanced, in place, to become compatible datasets that freely share their data with any other compatible datasets.

Compatible Data System Features

All compatible data systems are encapsulated within a set of Maxxphase Data Compatibility Standards. These standards were designed to deliver several important enhancements to the source data system.

First, these Data Compatibility Standards provide a common foundation of master data and metadata for each compatible data system. The data in a compatible data system is integrated with any other compatible data systems' data through their copies of the common foundation.

Second, the Data Compatibility Standards support extensive direct data system interoperability through their copies of the common foundation. Compatible data systems form direct and dynamic data access paths among them. These data access paths are the "threads" that weave the compatible data systems into a Compatible Data Fabric. Since the data is integrated across compatible data systems and the data systems are directly interoperable, you now have a 360ᴼ view of all your data.

Third, we designed the Data Compatibility Standards to support business intelligence and analytics functionality. Each compatible data system is analytics-ready as it supports multidimensional analysis. Since these data systems are extensively directly interoperable, and the data from multiple compatible data systems are integrated, these compatible data systems can be blended or harmonized.

Finally, a compatible data system interacts with any other compatible data system through its common foundation of master data and metadata. These direct and dynamic interactions give each compatible data system its plug and play abilities within the Compatible Data Fabric. A new compatible data system can be added to the Compatible Data Fabric and immediately directly interacts with all other compatible data systems within the data fabric.

Interoperable data systems

Data Systems
that Collaborate

Siloed data systems do not directly collaborate. Each data system represents a set of compartmentalized data that is incompatible, and each offers a conflicting view of information. These conflicting views of information are a huge problem for business users; hence, the prominence of data integration to resolve the conflicts. However, transformation-based data integration does not remove the conflicting data from the source, and in fact, further instantiates the isolation of your data systems from each other.

Maxxphase Data Compatibility provides standardized data and metadata commonality to each data system needed to dynamically and directly connect these data systems. This data and metadata commonality resolves conflicting master data views across previously siloed data systems. Direct connections do not need data transformations. Since no data transformations are used in these connections, the data systems become directly interoperable. Direct interoperability means the data from one data system can be seamlessly joined with the data from other data systems.

The first-ever directly interoperable data systems were designed and implemented by Maxxphase. Our patented data design and management methods produce these interoperable compatible data systems. Because of the design for extensive data system interoperability, a consistent Compatible Data Fabric is spontaneously formed from any set of compatible data systems. With Maxxphase Data Compatibility, all your data systems now collaborate to provide a single trusted view of your business data and information whenever or wherever needed.
